Leslie Hill

Mr. Leslie Arnold Eugene Hill, age 63, died Monday, June 20, 2022, at his residence in Martin.

Leslie is survived by his daughter, Brittany (Sokma) Chin of Marion, IL; his mother, June Hill of Martin;  mother of their daughter, Cande Maloney of Largo, FL; sister, Elise (David) Everett and brother, Billy (Joan) Hill both of Martin; three grandchildren, Kaeyah Chin, Klaira Chin and Derrick Khy Chin; his aunt, Juliet Wilson of Martin and many other family and friends.

If you knew Leslie, you knew that his Mom and his daughter were his whole world.  He was a Momma's boy through and through and never left his Momma's side, caring for her and her twin until his last breath.  Dad was a title he held with pride but even more than Daddy, his favorite title was Pops.  He would tell anyone who would listen about his grand babies and just something about the way he said "POPS", was so special and something you will never forget.

He loved sports and was proud of his accomplishments with his high school baseball team.  He never missed a chance to watch the Cardinals play and bled that orange Tennessee Pride!  He loved giving his son-in-law a hard time about the Patriots but told anyone who would listen how perfect Sokma is for his baby girl.  He was so proud of the family they created.  "We did good, Cande".

Leslie was a graduate of Westview High School 1977 in Martin.  Leslie was an iron worker and a caretaker for his mother and his aunt.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Hill and his sister, Liz Smith.

Memorial Visitation will be Friday, June 24, 2022, 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home.

Monetary donations may be made out to Leslie's daughter, Brittany Chin.  100% of donations will be placed in a trust fund for his grand babies.  Donations may be given during visitation or may be mailed to:  Kaeyah and Klaira Chin; 813 Dogwood Lane; Marion, IL  62959.
