Mr. Leroy C. Sutherland, age 90, of Collerville, TN, formerly of Martin TN, died Sunday, 10/19/2014, at Methodist Hospital, Germantown, TN.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, 10/22/2014, at 12:00 PM at Murphy Funeral Home, with burial to follow at East Side Cemetery, Martin TN. Visitation will be after 10:00 AM Wednesday until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Sutherland was a retired Operating Room Tech at Veterans Hospital, Memphis; he was a WW II Army Veteran; he was a member of First Baptist Church, Martin TN.
Mr. Sutherland was preceded in death by his wife, Vanita Quarles Sutherland, his son, Kenneth L. Sutherland, Sr., and his parents, Estell & Ellie Moorehead Sutherland.
Mr. Sutherland is survived by a daughter, Betty(Harry) McKinney, of Collerville, TN; two grandchildren, Kenneth L. Sutherland, Jr., and Brian D. Matthews; and one great grandchild, Brooke Sutherland.
