Leon Rushing

Mr. Leon Rushing, age 72, died Tuesday at his home in Martin. Funeral service will be Friday, Novemeber 20, 2009, at Murphy Funeral Home; 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, November 19, 2009, at the funeral home; 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M.
Mr. Rushing is survived by his wife, Joy Willis Rushing of Martin. He is survived by two sons, Larry Rushing and Randy Rushing both of Martin; one sister, Pat Oliver of Martin. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Wallace Rushing and Lettie Pearly Smith Rushing.
Mr. Rushing was a retired Martin Police Officer. He graduate from Martin High School and a member of Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church in Martin.
