Mr. Kenneth Clay (Sam) Walker, age 92, of Martin died Sunday, 09/11/2011, at Jackson Madison County Hospital.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, 09/13/2011, at Murphy Funeral Home; 3:00 P.M. Burial to follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday at Murphy Funeral Home.
Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Annie Mae Puckett Walker of Martin; daughter, Betty Walker of Martin; grandson, Jimmy Lee Mitchell of Martin.
Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his parents; Granderson Walker and Tennessee Levister Walker; grandsons, Terry Mitchell and Bobby Mitchell,II.
Mr. Walker formerly worked for the City of Martin; Puckett Lumber Company and he was a retired carpenter. He retired after 48 years with the Martin Fire Department. He was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Martin and U.S. Army Veteran.
