Kelly William Murray

Kelly graduated with Honors in 2000 from Coral Springs High School in Coral Springs, Fla. He was a four-year varsity wrestler.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Central Florida in 2005. Kelly was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. He served as Vice President of Membership Developement for the UCF Interfraternity Council.
Kelly earned a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2008. While at UTM he belonged to the Phi Chi Theta Professional Business Fraternity. He founded the University of Tennessee at Martin Financial Management Association (FMA) and served as president of the association. He was awarded the University of Tennessee at Martin College of Business and Public Affairs Faculty Scholar and adopted into the Financial Management Association National Honor Society in 2007. He served as the Graduate Assistant for the Dunagan Chair of Excellence in Banking, and Market Researcher for the Weakley County
Economic Devolopement Board.
He served on the National
Republican
Congressional Committee Business Advisory
Council in both Tennessee and Florida.
Kelly was the Tennessee Valley Authority Investment Challenge Portfolio Manager, Senior Analyst, and Graduate Assistant during the past two semesters. The work of this group earned UTM national recognition and monetary bonus from the TVA.
Kelly had plans to earn a second masters degree in financial analysis and go on to become a financial analyst. His wish was to one day be able to provide UTM's Business Department with a fully computerized trading room for use in working on the TVA Challenge Portfollo and other investment courses.
Kelly's loving and devoted parents, Bill & Sandy Murray, of Martin TN, his Sigma Phi Epsilon Brothers, and all of his friends hold his memory in their hearts and souls. He will be truly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2008, at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin TN. Family and friends will gather at Olivia's Opera House following the memorial service. In Lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up at the University of Tennessee at Martin in memory of Kelly Murray.
