Mrs. Kay Jackson, age 70, of Martin passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at West Tennessee Volunteer Hospital.
Funeral service will be Friday, August 6, 2021, 1:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Ray and Dr. Mike Sams officiating. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday beginning at 11:00 A.M. at the church until service time at 1:00.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by her husband of 52 years, James David Jackson of Martin. She is survived by her three children, Julie and Roger Donaldson, David and Becky Jackson all of Martin, and Matthew Jackson of Memphis. Her two sisters survive, Linda (Sam) Inman and Nancy (Ricky) Blankenship both of Atwood, Tennessee. Mrs. Jackson is survived by her three grandchildren, Eli Black, Luke Jackson and Emma Jackson all of Martin.
Mrs. Jackson was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Martin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jodie and Louise Douglas Gowan; one brother, Joe Ray Gowan.
She was a devout Christian who served the Lord faithfully at home and at church. She fought cancer courageously and clung to Jesus's promise for her life. She served the Lord through volunteer work at We Care and Agape House as well as holding regular bible studies in her home.
