Kathleen Gardner Olds

Ms. Kathleen Gardner Olds, age 82, of Martin died Tuesday, 2/15/2011 at her home.

Funeral service will be Thursday, February 17, 2011, at Gardner United Methodist Church; 2:00 P.M. Burial to follow in Gardner Cemetery in Martin. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at Murphy Funeral Home; 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., or after 10:00 A.M. Thursday at the church until funeral time at 2:00 P.M.

Ms. Olds is survived by her son, Scotty Olds of Martin; her daughter, Sherry Rister of Welsh, LA, her brother, Rev. Franklin L. Gardner of Martin; her sister, Russellene Vancleave of Martin; six grandchildren, five step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Olds was preceded in death by her parents, James Franklin Gardner and Alva Hester Gardner; her daughter, Donna Hauhe, her brother, James Fred Gardner, and her grandson Michael Rister.

Mrs. Olds retired from Martin Manufacturing Company. She was a 1947 graduate of Martin High School and a member of Gardner United Methodist Church.
