June Wright

Mrs. June Vaughan Wright, age 90, died Friday, August 3, 2018, in Baptist Hospital in Huntingdon, Tennessee.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 7, 2018, 1:00 P.M. at the Martin Church of Christ with Bro. Ricky Phillips officiating.  Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday, August 6, 2018, 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home, or after 11:00 A.M. at the church on Tuesday until funeral time at 1:00.

Pallbearers will be Mike Davis, Tyler Davis, Maury Ford, Paul Ryne Wilson, Rick Wilson, Jr., Robert Conley, Jr. and Hunter Nanney. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Wright, Dessell T. Wright, Tommy Jones, Robert Conley, Sr. and Ralph Cooper. 

Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Wright; her parents, Harvey Vaughan and Maurine Milam Vaughan.  She is survived by her son, Mike Wright; her granddaughter, Jennifer (Michael D) Davis; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Taylor Davis all of Martin.

Mrs. Wright was an educator teaching and coaching at both Martin Junior High and Martin High School.  She was a graduate of the University of Tennessee Martin (UTMB) holding two Master's Degrees one in Education and one in Administration and Supervision.  She was a 50 year plus member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a Past Department President, a lifetime member of the VFW and 72 year member of the Eastern Star.
