Joyce Ann Connell

Mrs. Joyce Ann Hannings Connell, age 75, of Sharon, TN, died Saturday, October 6, 2018 at her residence.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 9, 2018, 2:00 P.M. at the Martin Church of Christ with Bro. Ricky Phillips and Bro. Danny Cash officiating.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Sharon.  Friends may assemble at the church at 1:45 P.M. on Tuesday.  There will be no public visitation.

Pallbearers will be Randy Connell, Donald Ray Connell, John Richard Connell and Terry Betts.

Mrs. Connell was a former clerk and mail carrier at the Sharon Post Office.  She later retired as Postmaster for the post office in Dukedom, Tennessee.  She attended Sharon High School and was a member of the Martin Church of Christ.


Mrs. Connell is survived by her husband, Charles Robert Connell, of Sharon; her daughter, Cindy Ann (Craig) Beard of South Carolina; her son, Chris Connell of Greenfield; sisters, Yvonne (Mackey) Rhodes of Texas, Dorothy (Joe) Nash of Michigan and Ruth Betts of Greenfield; half-sisters, Sue Peppers of Florida and Trena Jo Crittendon of Greenfield; step-brother Gary Page of Sharon.


She was preceded in death by her parents; Halbert and Clara Mae Hall Hannings.
