Joy Stephens

Mrs. Joy Marie Jacobs Stephens, age 85, of Martin died Tuesday, 02/24/2015, at Union City Nursing and Rehab Center in Union City, Tennessee.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 28, 2015, at Eastside Baptist Church in Martin at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, February 27, 2015, at Murphy Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M., or after 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the church until funeral time at 11:00 A.M.

Mrs. Stephens was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Aubrey Stephens; her parents, Jody Jacobs and Myrtle Keathly Jacobs; her brothers, Floyd Jacobs, J.B. Jacobs, Bill Jacobs; her sisters, Monette Turner and Modean Collier.

Mrs. Stephens retired from food services and catering at The University of Tennessee at Martin. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Martin.

Mrs. Stephens is survived by her son Timothy Joe (Sharon) Stephens of Bartlett, TN; her daughters, Donna Sue (Robert) Roost of Martin and Barbara Lou (Frank) Davidson of Darien, Illinois; two sisters, Sarah Hazlewood and Durell (Dale) Royster both of Martin; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
