Joseph John Besmer, 63, late of Long Pond, Pennsylvania and Lyndhurst, New Jersey died suddenly December 4, 1990 at Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania with his wife Constance and son Timothy at his side. Joseph was born in Jersey City, New Jersey to the late Joseph W. & Leonarda Besmer. He was of the Catholic Faith. Joseph was a Medic in the United States Army during World War 2 attaining the rank of TEC5. Joseph was a Machinery Re-builder for American Can Company of Jersey City, NJ, Clausing Corporation of Kalamazoo, Michigan and later, President of Besmer Machinery Repairs that he founded with his son Timothy. Joseph will be interred in Pisgah Cemetery next to his wife Constance Besmer who passed from this life on March 21, 2016. A Mass of Christian burial was held December 8, 1990. Private Catholic services for Joseph's re-interment were held on August 17, 2016 at The National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, Pennsylvania where Joe would make an annual pilgrimage. Joseph's son, Timothy and his wife Angie will receive visitors at 12:45 P.M , Monday August 22, 2016 at Pisgah Cemetery in Dresden, Tennessee with graveside committal services including military honors by the Patriot Guard of the Rolling Thunder Chapter 6 to begin at 1:00 P.M. Reverend Judith Wolfgang will be Officiant. Murphy Funeral Home and Florist, Inc. of Martin , Tennessee is assisting the Besmer family.
