John Harris

Mr. John E. Harris, Jr., age 77, died Monday, February 16, 2015, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, February 19, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Martin at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 18, 2015, from 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church, or after 9:30 A.M. on Thursday until funeral time at 11:00 A.M.

Mr. Harris is survived by his wife, Edna Rawls Harris of Martin; his sons, John E. (Suzanne) Harris III of Fargo, North Dakota and Walter (Angel) Harris of Martin; his sister, Judy Chappell of Martin; four grandchildren, Carrie (Ashton) Smith, Zach Harris, John E. Harris IV and Madison Harris; one great-grandchild, Stiles Moore Smith.

Mr. Harris was a retired administrator at the Martin Medical Center. He was a veteran, U.S. Air Force, and a member of First Baptist Church in Martin where he served as a deacon.
