John Fisher

Mr. John Arnold Fisher, age 100, of Sharon died Thursday, October 15, 2020, at his daughter's home in Hixson, Tennessee.

Funeral service will be Monday, October 19, 2020, 1:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Blake officiating.  Burial will follow in Tansil Cemetery near Sharon.  Visitation will be Monday beginning at 11:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00.

Family will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Fisher was preceded in death by his wife, Dean Harding Fisher; his son, Ronald Fisher; parents, Alva Fisher and Bertha Tice Fisher; three sisters, Lois Smith, Ruth Fisher and Hazel Harding; his twin brother, Robert Fisher.

Mr. Fisher was a retired farmer and a member of First United Methodist Church in Martin.  He was a WW II veteran; U.S. Army.

He is survived by his daughter, Janice (Donnie) Simmons of Hixson; three grandchildren, Cory Simmons, Heather (Eric) Jones and Todd (Jaclyn) Fisher;  three great-grandchildren, Ronin Jones, Zoe Jones and Maggie Fisher.
