Mr. Joe Perry Darnell, age 81, of Martin died Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at Tennova Healthcare Volunteer Hospital.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, October 6, 2016, 1:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Reagan officiating. Burial will follow in Hatler's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday beginning at 10:00 A.M. until funeral time.
Pallbearers will be John Gallimore, Joe Franklin Darnell, Stephen Johns, Donnie Jones, Roney Capps, David Shipton and Jayden Johns.
Mr. Darnell is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mrs. Hazel Virginia Jones Darnell of Martin; his son, Joe Thomas Darnell of Martin; one grandchild, Jessica (Stephen) Johns; one great-grandchild, Jayden Johns.
Mr. Darnell was a retired truck driver for Doyle Sims Trucking Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Elton Darnell and Jessie Bell Call Darnell; two brothers, Douglas Darnell and Jackie Darnell; three sisters, Betty Cooley, Janie Mullins and Peggy Darnell.
