Joe Damron

Mr. Joe Charles Damron, age 72, died Sunday, August 9, 2020, at Jackson Madison County Hospital.

Graveside service will be Monday, August 17, 2020, 3:00 P.M. in Martin Memorial Gardens with Rev. Larry Washburn and Rev. David Brown officiating.  Family and friends may assemble at 2:45 P.M. in the cemetery.

Pallbearers are Josh Vincent, Matt Vincent, Chris McDaniel, Paul Ryne Wilson, Mike Ford, David Byars, Jr., Ben Rasbach, Chad Clifton and Kyle Alexander.  Honorary Pallbearers are Richard Boyte, George Pritchett, Hugh Wade Killebrew, David Murphy and Kent Gearin.   

Mr. Damron is survived by his wife, Diane Kupfer Damron; his son, Clint (Tori) Damron both of Martin; his daughters, Amanda (Brent) Bowers of Dresden and Ashley Jo Damron of Portland, TN; his brother, Larry (Carol) Damron of Martin; five grandchildren, Anna Jo Smith, Avery Smith, Brentley Bowers, Tristen Damron and Christopher Damron, Jr.

Mr. Damron owned and operated Damron's Barbeque in Martin.  He was a graduate of Martin High School and a member of First Baptist Church in Martin.  He was a member of Martin Masonic Lodge #551.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Geraldine McClain Damron; brother, Jerry Damron.
