Jim Laster

Mr. James Forrest (Jim) Laster, age 67, died Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at his residence.

Funeral service will be Friday, March 13, 2020, 11:00 A.M. at Murphy Funeral Home with Rev. Kylan Mann officiating.  Burial with Military Honors will follow in East Side Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday, March 12, 2020, from 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mr. Laster is survived by his wife, Betty Hornbuckle Laster; his son, Evan (April) Laster all of Martin; his daughter, Jessica (Joe) Killion of Henderson, TN; one sister, Melva Dee Smith of Medon, TN; one brother, John Robert (Lee) Laster of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.  Pop left four grandchildren that he adored,  Hannah Marie Laster, Ava Grace Laster, Jada Dee Whitaker and Jesse James Billy Killion.

Mr. Laster was a retired veteran, U.S. Army and National Guard.  He was retired from the Martin Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Dee Laster and Cora Frances Trevathan Laster.
