Jennie Pearl Booker

Mrs. Jennie Pearl Buchanan Booker, age 97, of Martin died Friday, December 23, 2011, at Van Ayer Manor Nursing Home.

Funeral service will be Wednesdy, December 28, 2011, at Murphy Funeral Home; 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, two hours prior to funeral service.

Mrs. Booker was preceded in death by her husband, Ezra Booker; parents, A.V. Buchanan and Mary Louetta Hedge Buchanan; siblings, Annie White, Ethel Lyell, Lee Buchanan, Louise Bell, Lester "Jack" Buchanan, Evie Warren, Fred Buchanan, Oliver Buchanan, Mildred Cole and William "Sonny" Buchanan. She is survived by her daughters, Martha (Jeff) Harrison and Patsy (Norman) Freeman both of Martin; three grandchildren, Jennie (Humberto) Coleman-Hernandez, Jason (Kelly) Freeman and Marty Freeman, and two great-grandchildren, Grace Hernanadez and Josie Freeman.

Mrs. Booker was a homemaker and a member of the Martin Church of Christ.
