Ms. Jauanita Newton, age 65, died Saturday, May 8, 2010, at her home in Porterville, California.
Graveside service will be Sunday, May 16, 2010, at Gardner Cemetery in Martin. Visitation will be Saturday, May 15, 2010, at Murphy Funeral Home; 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M.
Ms. Newton is survived by her daughter, Amy Hernandez of Porterville, California; her son, David Newton of Union City; and sister, Barbara Ann Henry of Martin; her grandchildren, Katie Edmaiston, Ethan and Chase Vancleave, Braden and Parker Newton.
Ms. Newton was a nurse. She worked at Van Ayer Manor Nursing Home in Martin for 37 years before moving to California. She was a member of Adams Chapel Baptist Church in Martin.
