Mr. James Wesley Cherry, Sr., age 74, of Martin died Friday, 05/11/2012, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Murphy Funeral Home; 1:00 P.M. with burial to follow in Highland Cemetery in Greenfield. Visitation will be Monday, May 14, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.
Mr. Cherry is survived by his wife, Brenda Lynn Wilson Cherry of Martin; his sons, Troy, Jimmy and Daniel Cherry all of Chicago, IL; his daughter, Melody Cherry of California; step-daughter, Cindy Wilson of Chicago; brothers, Russell Cherry of Palmersville, Robbie Joe Cherry of St. Petersburg, FL, Ronald Douglas MaArthur Cherry of Orzark, AL; sisters, Mary Charlene Houghton of Chicago and Nancy Ann Walls of Humboldt, TN; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Cherry was retired locomotive electrician for Burlington Railroad. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
