Mr. James "Jim" Keith Dickenson, age 86, died Friday, January 7, 2022, at his home in Martin, Tennessee.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 12, 2022, 12:00 Noon at Murphy Funeral Home with Rev. David Brown officiating. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home until service time at 12:00 Noon.
Sons, grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Dickenson is survived by his wife, Audrey Stanford Dickenson, his sons, Keith Henry (Kristi) Dickenson and Paul David (Agnes) Dickenson, his daughter, Phyllis Pogue all of Martin; two brothers, Eugene Dickenson of Ohio and Bill "Dick" Dickenson of Chicago, IL; two sisters, Linda Dickenson Logan of West Virginia and Paula Monk of West Virginia; six grandchildren, April Constantino, Linda Pogue, Shawn Morrison, Micah Dickenson, Elijah Dickenson, GraceAnna Dickenson; three great-grandchildren, James Constantino, Malik Pogue and Maliki Constantino; two great great-grandchildren, Daisy Constantino and Everleigh Constantino.
He was a retired mechanic owning and operating The Vehicle Clinic in Martin. He served 20 years in the United States Air Force and was a member of First Baptist Church in Martin. Jim was an ordained Baptist minister and held church services at Van Ayer Nursing and Rehab Center for 32 years plus. He was a former Chaplin for the Disabled American Veterans for the State of Tennessee.
Jim was preceded in death by his son, James Roger Dickenson; parents, Roger Dickenson and Elva Eary Dickenson; siblings, Norman Dickenson, Dorothy Strehlen, Henry Dickenson, Eloise Harger, Ginger Monk and Larry Dickenson.
