Mr. James I. Holly, age 96, of 526 Old Troy Road, Martin; formerly of Union City Tn, died Saturday, 10/02/2010, at Volunteer Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church; 1:00 P.M. with burial to follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Mr. Holly was a pilot, American Metal Co. and Lear Seigler. He was a flight instructor during WW II. Mr Holly was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Mr. Holly is survived by a daughter, Linda(Duane) Merritt, Martin TN, a grandson, Jason Merritt, a step grandson, Mike Merritt, two great-grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren, and a step great great-grandson.
Mr. Holly was preceded in death by his wife, Patty Sue Scott Holly; parents, Benjamin & Sally Holly.
