James Ellis Teal

Mr. James Ellis Teal, age 88, of Martin died Sunday, April 1, 2012, at Martin Health Care.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Murphy Funeral Home; 11:00 A.M. with burial to follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 3, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.

Mr. Teal is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Rourke Teal of Martin, sons, Don (Becky) Teal and Mike (Donna) Teal both of Martin; sister, Marjorie Scott of Boaz, Alabama; two grandchildren, CJ (Jessica) Teal and Susan (Trey) Nichy; two great-grandchildren, Colton James Teal and Ayden Bryce Nichy; two step great-grandchildren, Valery Nichy and Cyndi Nichy.

Mr. Teal was preceded in death by his parents, John Walter Teal and Allie Brothers Teal; and one brother, Gene A. Teal.

Mr. Teal was a retired lineman (31 years) for TVA. He was a U.S. Marine WWII veteran and he was a Baptist. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Boaz, Alabama.
