Jack Freeman

Mr. Jack Huston Freeman age 84 of Martin died Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky.

Funeral service will be Monday, July 8, 2024, 12:00 Noon at Murphy Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Cash officiating.  Burial will follow in Hatler's Chapel Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday beginning at 10:00 A.M. until service time at 12:00 Noon.

Mr. Freeman is survived by his wife of 67 years, Edna Davis Freeman; his daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Kay and Phillip Filtz all of Martin.

Mr. Freeman attended Martin High School.  He had a love for music and played the trumpet in the high school band.  He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and had to leave due to a medical discharge so he moved to Chicago, IL where he met the love of his life and future wife, Edna.  He was self-employed and retired as a masonry contractor after 42 years.  He was a faithful member of the Martin Church of Christ. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleo and Bethel Crosser Freeman; one sister, Mary Lou Schrader; two brothers, James Ralph Freeman and Gerald Ray Freeman.
