Herbert Leon Mires

Mr. Herbert Leon Mires, age 83, of Martin died Tuesday, 05/11/2020, at his home.

Funeral service will be Friday, May 14, 2010, at Murphy Funeral Home; 2:00 P.M. Burial to follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday beginning at 12:00 Noon until funeral time at 2:00 P.M.

Mr. Mires is survived by his wife, Dorothy Cleek Mires of Martin; one son, Jerry L. Mires of Laingsburg, Michigan; one daughter, Linda Lou Mires Seppelia of Covington, Michigan. Four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren survive. Also, survived by one brother, Paul Mires of Mississippi; one sister, Lucille Mires Garner of Martin. He was preceded in death by parents, Rufus Mires, Sr. and Pauline Mires; brothers, Rufus Mires, Jr. and Roy Hubert Mires.

Mr. Mires retired after 42 years of service at Goodyear in Lansing, Michigan. He was a WW II veteran and a Baptist.
