Harry Dale Fortner

December 4, 1949 — October 25, 2020

Harry Dale Fortner, 70, (12/04/1949-10/25/2020) died peacefully in his home in Sharon, TN after a long struggle with medical issues.  He is preceded in death by his sisters, Jean Kosusnik, Brenda Arnold, brother, Keith Fortner, and parents, Harry and Lorraine Fortner.  He is survived by his sister, Diana Fortner of Sycamore, IL, 9 nieces and nephews, 14 great nieces and nephews, and 2 great-great nephews, and many extended family members and friends.

Many knew him by Dale, or Uncle Dale and some knew him as Harry.  He loved his family, especially the children.  He enjoyed being a spectator at sporting events and was the loudest one in the crowd cheering them on.  He was the 1st All State football player at Wheaton North High School, and an All Conference wrestler.

Dale was a loving brother, uncle, and father like to his niece, Andrea, and nephew, Josh.  Dale had many accomplishments as he received an MBA from Vanderbilt University and was an Entrepreneur, Comic, Sportsman, Gear Head, Gardener, Grill Master, and Home Cook.  Dale was a Christian, and has gone to his eternal home.

Graveside service will be Saturday, November 7, 2020, 10:00 A.M. at Mack's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev.
