Harold (Hank) Thomas Spikes

Mr. Hank Spikes, age 88, of Martin died Saturday, February 22, 2104, at Waverly Health Care in Waverly, Tennessee..

Funeral service will be Monday, February 24, 2014, at Murphy Funeral Home, 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11:00 on Monday, two hours prior to service at 1:00 P.M.

Mr. Spikes was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Taylor Spikes; parents, Cayce Spikes and Estelle Cook Spikes; brother, Henry (Bub) Spikes. He is survived by his son, David (Wanda) Spikes of Crownsville, MD; daughters, Pam Baird of Waverly and Judy Stevens of Eva,TN; brother, Jimmy (Gay)Spikes of Georgetown, TX; sisters, Joyce Ann (Joe) Lee of Martin and Shirley (Darrell) Gardner of Sidonia, Tn; three grandchildren, Doug (Christi) Baird of Nolensville, TN, Dr. Kurt (Sacha) Steele of Newport, TN and Jason Steele of Cincinnati, Ohio; one great-granddaughter, Grace Ann Baird.

Mr. Spikes retired from the Tennessee National Guard. He was a 59 year member of the Martin Lions Club and a graduate of Dresden High School. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Martin and a U.S. Navy veteran.
