Gwen Smith

Mrs. Claudette Gwenetta Willoughby Smith, age 83, died Sunday, November 18, 2018, at her residence.

Funeral service will be Saturday, November 24, 2018, 1:00 P.M. at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation with the family will be at 11:00 A.M. two hours prior to the service at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow in Parham Cemetery. 

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers, Adrian Oliver, Kareem Owens, Lamont Owens, Cory Brock, Dontae Brock and Sidney Owens.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husbands, Col. Bob Smith and Wardell Owens Sr.; her parents, Rev. A.E. Willoughby and Viola Taylor Willoughby; her son, Tommy Douglas Willoughby.

Mrs. Smith retired from Hubbell Lighting and the T-Room.  She was a graduate of Weakley County Training School and was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Evans and Tammy Owens both of Martin, Wanda Neal of Louisville, KY; her sons, Wardell Owens Jr. of Tacoma, WA, James Owens and Stevie Owens both of Martin.
