Gloria J. Smith

Mrs. Gloria Jean Gatewood Smith, age 80, of Martin died Monday, August 4, 2014, at Martin Health Care.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at the Gardner Church of Christ at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Gardner Cemetery in Martin. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at Murphy Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., or after 10:00 A.M. at the Gardner Church of Christ on Wednesday morning until funeral time at 11:00 A.M.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Smith; her parents, Jewel Gatewood and Nellie Wren Gatewood; two sisters, Mary Ellevan and Wanda Sue Gatewood; one brother, Jerrolee Gatewood; son-in-law, Bobby Hauhe.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Paula Smith Hauhe (Denny) Rorer of Martin, her brother, Carl Gatewood of Troy, TN; two granddaughters, Robin Hauhe (Brandon) Young of Germantown, TN and Christin Hauhe (Chris) Gray of Jackson, TN; two great-grandchildren, Jude Young and Perry Wren Gray.

Mrs. Smith retired from Martin Manufacturing Company. She was a member of Gardner Church of Christ.
