Glenda Taylor

Mrs. Glenda C. Taylor, age 81, died Friday, September 18, 2020, at Diversicare in Martin.

Graveside service will be Monday, September 21, 2020, 12:00 Noon in East Side Cemetery with Rev. David Rogers officiating.  The family will receive friends at the cemetery beginning at 11:00 A.M. until service time.

Pallbearers are Jered Rogers, Jacob Rogers, Logan Taylor, Zach Taylor, John Warmath, Johnny Jaramillo, Sam Freeman, Caleb Harrison and Brandon Breaux.

Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Lamar Taylor; her son, Cecil David Taylor; her parents, Lunie Hardin and Lillan Foreman Hardin.

Mrs. Taylor was a Godly woman that loved helping others.  She was a loving lady that used her nursing skills even after retirement when she was in assisted living and then in Diversicare.  Her family would often find her nursing her patient friends and trying to help everyone.  She was truly a caregiver and loved caring for others.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Buck) Rogers and Carolyn (Steve) Robinson; one son, Kelly (Lisa) Taylor; daughter-in-law, Tammie Taylor all of Martin; two brothers, Gaylon (Betty Ann) Hardin of Dyer, TN and Glenn (Lois) Hardin of Millington, TN; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Taylor was a retired nurse.  She nursed at Dyersburg Hospital, Union City Hospital and Volunteer General Hospital.  She later went to work for Dr. Patrick and was his nurse until his health failed. After retiring from nursing she worked for Wal-Mart for 15 years. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Union City.
