Mr. Herman Glen Collier, age 84, died Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at his residence.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Jude's Catholic Church on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at 10:00 A.M. with Father Dennis Schenkel and Deacon Rodney Freed officiating. Burial will follow in Collier Cemetery in Martin. Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Friday, February 12, 2016, at Murphy Funeral Home.
Mr. Collier is survived by his wife, Esther Zdobylak Collier of Martin; his sons, John (Michele) Collier and Mark (Deborah) Collier both of Chicago, Illinois; his daughter, Patricia (Mike) Heath of Memphis, TN; six grandchildren, Glen (Dawn) Collier of Martin, Nicole Collier, Lisa Collier, Christine Collier, Megan Collier and Hannah Collier all of Chicago, Illinois; five great-grandchildren, Michael and Emilee Collier, Keila Pizano, Giovanni and Jaime Lara.
Mr. Collier retired from Lucent Phone Company in Chicago. He was a veteran, U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Glen Collier; his parents, Herman Lee Collier and Iva Prince Collier; one sister, Dorothy Peavey.
