Gertrude Myrick

Mrs. Gertrude Davis Myrick, age 81, of Martin died Thursday, September 11, 2014, at Van Ayer Healthcare and Rehab in Martin.

Funeral service will be Saturday, September 13, 2014, at Murphy Funeral Home 2:00 P.M. Burial to follow in Public Wells Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday beginning at 12:00 Noon until funeral time at 2:00 P.M.

Mrs. Myrick was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Myrick; her parents, James Harry Davis and Lee Ammie Evans Davis. She is survived by her son, Marty Myrick of Martin and very special friend, Paula Jarrard of Dresden; her sister, Mildred (Bill) Miller of Louden, TN; three step great-grandchildren, Jennifer Swatzell, Tiffany Tarkington and Joanna Tarkington.

Mrs. Myrick retired from The University of Tennessee Martin were she was an Administrative Specialist in Human Resources. She was a member of Public Wells Baptist Church in Martin.
