Mr. George B. Byars, age 86, of 312 North College, Martin TN, died Tuesday, 8/10/2010, at Volunteer Community Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Byars will be Friday, 08/13/2010, at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church, Martin TN, with burial to follow at East Side Cemetery, Martin TN. Visitation will be at Murphy Funeral Home Thursday, 08/12/2010, between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM. His remains will be taken to the Church Friday morning at 10:00 AM until service time .
Mr. Byars was a member of First United Methodist Church, Martin Tn, and a retired brick mason.
Mr. Byars is survived by his wife, Sarah McClain Byars, and a son, David Byars, Sr., both of Martin TN, six grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.
Mr. Byars was preceded in death by his parents, Armer Lee & Inez Brundige Byars; brothers, Bert, Robert, & Willie Byars, and a sister, Julia Lorena Byars.
