Gary Snyder

Mr. Gary Kent Snyder, age 75, died Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Murphy Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. with Father Dennis Schnekel officiating. Burial will follow at St. Jerome Cemetery in Fancy Farm, Kentucky. Visitation will be Friday, February 5, 2016, from 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M.

Mr. Snyder was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Charlene Zoern Snyder; his parents, Arzel Snyder and Ruth Spaulding Snyder; his daughter, Angela Horn; two grandchildren, Leslie Horn and Jennifer Horn; five deceased brothers, four deceased sisters.

Mr. Snyder was a former administrator at Van Ayer Healthcare and Rehab, Union City Manor and Rehab and Martin Health Care. He was a graduate of Grove High School in Paris, TN and a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Martin.

He is survived by step-son, Tim Tulppo of Reno, Nevada; step-daughters, Tamelia Miller of Easton Rapids, MI and Teresa Thompson of Martin; one niece, Mrs. Scarlette Gore of Puryer, TN; three step-grandchildren, Ashley Thweatt, Sheldon Miller and Tyler Miller; four step great-grandchildren, Lexi Simpson, Brody Thweatt, Lilly Thweatt and Bentley Miller.
