Gail Simpson

Ms. Emily Gail Simpson, age 65, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at her residence.

Funeral service will be Friday, April 20, 2012, at Murphy Funeral Home; 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Taylor's Chapel Cemetery in Dover, TN. Visitation will be Thursday, April 19, 2012, from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M.

Pallbearers will be David Sykes, Phillip Sykes, Stevie Powers, Jacob Powers, Sam Powers and Zach Powers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Radiance Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church.

Ms. Simpson is survived by her son, Chris (Tracey) Campbell of Nashville, TN; two grandchildren, Rachel (Steve) Woods and Rebecca Campbell both of Nashville; sisters, Betty Lou (Lee) Sykes and Jean Powers both of Clarksville, TN, Debbie (Eddie) Ferrell of Martin; sister-in-law, Gladys Logan of Dover, TN.

Ms. Simpson was preceded in death by her parents, Claude David and Vivian "Gertie" Logan; her brother, Bill Logan; her brother-in-law, Roy Powers.

She was a retired nurse from St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. She was a graduate of Montgomery Central High School and Metro Nashville School of Nursing. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Martin.
