Survived by his wife, Edna Boyd Buchanan of Martin

Survived by daughters; Sherry Wagster of Martin and Janice Hester of Dallas, TX

Survived by sister, Jenny Pearl Booker of Martin

Preceded in death by brothers and sisters; Lee Buchanan, Jack Buchanan, Oliver Buchanan, William L. (Sonny) Buchanan, Ann White, Ethel Lyle, Louise Bell, Mildred Cole and Evie Mae Warren

Survived by granchildren; Nick Wagster of Martin and Jessica Wagster of Chattanooga. Survived by great-grandchildren; Christian Wagster and Brayden Wagster.

Mr. Buchanan was a retired farmer and formally worked at Leir Sigler and Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in WW II. He was a member of the Mt. Pelia Baptist Church.
