Frances J. Priest

Jeannette Smothers Priest, age 71, died Sunday, December 21, 2014, at St. David Hospital South in Austin, Texas after a prolonged illness. Her daughter and son-in-law by her side.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 28, 2014, at Murphy Funeral Home. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 27, 2014, from 3:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. and after 12:00 P.M. (noon) on Sunday until the funeral.

She is survived by her daughter, Jackie (Rodney) Lyons of Austin, Texas; her brothers, Don (Lee) Smothers of Burna, KY, Mike (Debbie) Smothers of Dover, Tennessee. Jeannette is survived by many nieces and nephews. Sterling Smothers and Mary Lynn Brock Smothers, her parents, preceded her in death.

Jeannette was an artist and journalist . She was a graduate of Martin High School, The University of Tennessee at Martin and Regents University. Jeannette had a passion for wolves and loved her dogs and horses. She lived her life as a follower of Christ.
