Frances Edwards

Mrs. Mary “Frances” Edwards of Martin, age 96, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 18, 2021. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Anna Mae Owen Hospice House in Murray, KY.

Funeral service will be Friday, May 21, 2021, 12:00 Noon at Murphy Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Reagan officiating.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Sharon, Tennessee.  Visitation will be Friday beginning at 10:30 A.M. until service time at noon.

Pallbearers are Doug George, Mike Riddick, Dale Justice, Jared Smith, Hunter Justice and Darren Osbron. Honorary pallbearers are Casen Justice and Candon Smith.

Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wade Edwards; her parents, Leonard Adams and Esther Lomax Adams; eight siblings: Paul Adams(Michigan), Martha Riddick(Dresden, TN), Tom Adams (Texas), Bill Adams (Martin, TN), Harold “Hank” Adams (Illinois), James Adams (Martin, TN), and two brothers, one died at birth & the other as an infant.

She is survived by her daughters, Gloria Perry of Paris, TN and Janet (Doug) George of Suwanee, Georgia; two granddaughters, April (Dale) Justice and Kristi (Jared) Smith; five great-grandchildren, Ali Mae Justice, Casen Justice, Hunter Justice, Candon Smith and Raylenn Smith; one brother, Charles Adams of Murray, KY. Along with many nieces & nephews.

Mrs. Edwards retired from Walmart in Martin and was a member of Adams Chapel Baptist Church.

She was a Godly woman who loved her family & friends. She enjoyed playing the piano, traveling, riding horses, and reading her Bible. She will truly be missed by all who knew & loved her.
