Emzy Jean Lofton, born October 18, 1939, in Madison County, TN was sent to her eternal home on January 29, 2025, in Dresden, Tennessee from natural causes.
Emzy Jean, simply Jean, or Nan, as she was affectionately known, was a woman of strong faith and an unwavering love for family. Her journey on this earth was marked by love, compassion, and faith in God.
Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her.
Jean is survived by her loving daughter, Vicki Tidwell, her sister Jimmy Gail Parham, grandchildren Autumn Krause and Zac Collins and great grandchildren Miles Collins, Emzy Collins, Ansley Andrady, Ava Morris and Collins Krause.
She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Erleene Sanders, sister, Shirley Copeland, and husband Howard Mitchell.
Jean worked for more than 30 years at Halls Printing and was a member of Beech Springs Baptist Church.
Murphy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Private services will be held for family.
