Emma Ruth Fuqua

Mrs. Emma Ruth Stricklin Fuqua, age 91, died August 13, 2015, at Martin Health Care.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Ruthville Baptist Church 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Lowell Wiley officiating. Burial will follow in Sandy Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be at Murphy Funeral Home on Friday, August 14, 2015, from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. The remains will be moved to the church at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday and lie-in-state there until funeral time at 2:00 P.M.

Mrs. Fuqua was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Sebastian Fuqua, her parents, Charlie S. Stricklin and Cordie Butler Stricklin; two brothers, Pete Stricklin and Robert Stricklin; one sister, Evonne Northcut. She is survived by her son, Carl Stanley (Myla) Fuqua of Martin; brother, Tom Stricklin of Sharon; three grandchildren, Clint (Kelly) Fuqua, Jason (Michelle) Fuqua, Brittany Fuqua; three great-grandchildren, Byron Fuqua, Brooklyn Loar, Jacob Jones.

Pallbearers will be John Mitchell, John Robert Mitchell, Clayton Mitchell, Jeff Stricklin, Collin Lee Stricklin, Byron Fuqua and James Middlebrook.

Mrs. Fuqua was a homemaker and a member of Ruthville Baptist Church.
