Mr. Eddy Gene White, age 70, died Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at Tennova Healthcare Volunteer Hospital in Martin.
Funeral service will be Sunday, January 24, 2016, at First Baptist Church in Martin at 2:30 P.M. with Dr. Mike Sams officiating. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday until funeral time at 2:30 P.M.
David Harrison, Chris Mathis, Daniel Jones, Kyle White, David Bracy and Freddie Brasfield will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. White is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bobbi White of Martin; his daughter, Tawnya (Daniel) Jones, USAF of Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri; his brother, Robert Harry (Shirley) White of Rutherford, TN; two sisters, Cathy (Hugh) Wright of Martin and Frances Ann (Dugan) Crain of Deridder, Louisana; two grandchildren, Kyle White and Katelyn Jones; one nephew, Christopher Garner; great-niece, Cayla Garner both of Medina, Tennessee.
Mr. White was a former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company employee. He served as Director of Juvenile Services in Dyer County, Tennessee. Eddy was a graduate of Martin High School and The University of Tennessee at Martin. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Martin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry White and Mable Barger White.
Memorials to Agape House or First Baptist Church Building Fund.
