Private graveside service will be held for Dr. Collins.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Benson Collins of Martin and his daughter, Emily Benson Collins of New York.
Dr. Collins was a Biology Professor at The University of Tennessee at Martin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel L. Collins and Elizabeth Peyser Collins.
