Mrs. Dorothy Wright Shelley, age 89, of Cate Road, Martin TN, died Friday, 03/25/2011, at Baptist Hospital East, Memphis TN.

Funeral service will be Monday, March 28, 2011, at Murphy Funeral Home; 11:00 A.M. Burial to follow in Cate Cemetery in Martin. Visitation for Mrs. Shelley will be Sunday, March 27, 2011, from 3:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M.

Mrs. Shelley was a member of Bethel Church of Christ, and a homemaker. She attended Stella Ruth School and graduated from Martin High School.

Mrs. Shelley is survived by a daughter, Cathey(Jack) Ogg; a son, James W.(Butch) Shelley, both of Martin TN, two brothers, Dessell and Jimmy Wright, both of Martin TN, five grandchildren, Sammy(Cheryl) Ogg, Martin TN, Scotty(Candace) Ogg, Dresden TN, Sandra(Charlie) Rowlett, Martin TN, William(Meg) Shelley, Martin TN, Angelia(Mark) Abbott, Kenton TN, and 12 Great-Grandchildren.

Mrs. Shelley was preceded in death by her husband, John Samuel Shelley, a brother, Dale Wright, and her parents, Hubert & Cassie Harrison Wright.
