Dorothy Schmitt Young

Mrs Dorothy Schmitt Young, age 63, of Sand Hill Rd., Martin TN, died Saturday, 01/14/2012, at her home.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, 01/17/2012, at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church of Martin TN, with burial to follow at Knob Noster Cemetery, Knob Noster, Missouri. Visitation will be Monday, 01/16/2012, between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM at Murphy Funeral Home; her remains will be taken to the church Tuesday at 10:00 AM.

There will be a visitation at the First United Methodist Church in Knob Noster, MO, on Thursday, 01/19/2012, between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM, with graveside services to immediately to follow at Knob Noster Cemetery.

Mrs Young was in retail sales and farming; she was a member of First United Methodist Church of Martin TN.

Mrs Young is survived by her husband, Philip J. Young, of Martin TN, three daughters, Leslie Ann Wendel, Antlers Ok, Carrie Ann Flood, Joplin MO, and Mary Elizabeth Wicker, Aurora MO.; a son, Terry Wayne Smith, Chilhowee, MO; four Grandchildren,; two brothers, Willie Leon Schmitt, Bonner Springs KS, and Jay Douglas Schmitt, Monterey CA, and half brother, Dennis S. Lankford, Fremont NE.

Mrs Young was preceded in death by her parents, Willis John and Ethel Irene Westpfahl Schmitt.
