Doris Mcminn

Mrs. Doris Dowell McMinn, age 80, of Martin died Friday, 02/22/2013, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Graveside service will be Monday, February 25, 2013, at East Side Cemetery; 1:00 P.M. Visitation will be at Murphy Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 A.M. for two hours prior to service.

Mrs. McMinn was preceded in death by her husband, Joe McMinn. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Sue) McMinn of Steilacoom, Washington and Jeffrey (Peggy) McMinn of Union City; daughters, Janet (Donnie) Jones and Vicki (Todd) Moss both of Martin and Cindy (Dennis) Cooper of Dresden; sister, Juanita Watson of Martin; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; special friend, Maurice Riddick of Dresden; nephew, Billy (Bubba) Dowell of Union City; niece, Peggy Murray. She was preceded in death by brother, Harold Dowell; two sisters, Margaret Eddington and Agnes Boucher.

Mrs. McMinn formerly worked in the day care center at First Baptist Church in Martin. She was a graduate of Martin High School and a member of First Baptist Church.
