Don Jones

Mr. Donald Vaden (Don) Jones, age 73, of Martin died Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at Volunteer Community Hospital.

Funeral service will be Friday, February 22, 2013, at Broadway Baptist Church in Martin at 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, February 21, 2013, at Murphy Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., or after 10:00 A.M. Friday at Broadway Baptist Church. Rev. Noel Edwards and Rev. Kenneth Springer will conduct the service. Pallbearers will be Joel Edwards, Randy Coleman, Mike Pierce, Jerry Rogers, Hoyte Rogers and Joe Insco. Honorary Pallbearers will be Buck Rogers, David Rogers, Bobby Rogers, John Rogers, Don Hawkins and Cary Weldon.

Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Jean Burkhart Jones of Martin; his sons, Vernon (Rip) Jones of Martin and Jeffrey V. Jones of Scotts Hill, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hoyte Jones and Virginia Quarles Jones; one sister, Linda Rogers.

Mr. Jones retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and was a member of Broadway Baptist Church in Martin. He was a member of Dresden Masonic Lodge #90.
