Dan Blake

Mr. Dan Richard Blake 79 of Martin passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at West Tennessee Volunteer Hospital.

Funeral service will be Friday, June 28, 2024, 1:00 P.M. at Central Baptist Church in Martin with Rev. Kylan Mann officiating.  Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Friday at the church.

Pallbearers are Zachary Pyles, Landon McDearmon, Luke McDearmon, Beau Blake, Bruce Holley and Kyle Holley.

Mr. Blake is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda Rose Morris Blake; his son, David Richard (Karissa) Blake of Martin; two daughters, Dreama Blake (Brent) Dolan of Bruceton, TN and Amanda Beth (John) McDearmon of Auburntown, TN; five grandchildren, Zachary Blake Pyles, Kaitlin Montanna (Kyle) Holley, Landon Lee McDearmon, Luke Michael McDearmon and Beau Jarod Blake.

Dan was an avid wood crafter.  He made beautiful pieces of furniture for his children, grandchildren, church family; even building his own casket.  They will always cherish their furniture made by daddy's (granddaddy's) hands.

He was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company as an industrial electrician.  He was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church in Martin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Fredrick Blake and Mary Lou McDurmon Blake; two brothers, Paul Dennis Blake and Burt Leroy Blake.
