Corinne Blake Grugett

Corinne Blake Grugett, beloved mother passed from this life on Thursday, March 4, 2021.  Corinne was born on March 30, 1926.  Corinne was born on March 30, 1926 in Martin, Tennessee, the middle child of Ezra and Bessie Blake.  Corinne was preceded in death by her brothers James Blake, Kenneth Blake, sisters, June Acroyd and Beauton Bullard.

Corinne lived a long life deeply devoted to raising 3 sons in Memphis.  Corinne was very active in her son's sports and school activities, where she worked for years as a crossing guard for all the kids in the neighborhood and serving on the PTA.  Her favorite things were gatherings with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  Corinne was also enthusiastic about spending time with good friends, her beloved marble game and nights out playing bingo.

Three children, Michael Grugett, Blake Grugett and Gregory Grugett, daughter in laws Dianne and Julie Grugett, and son-in-law William Young survived Corinne.  She also has six grandchildren, Wendy Michaels, Douglas Grugett, Dustin Gentry, Zac Hebert, Morgan Hebert and Kaylie Heifet.  She would also be exceedingly proud to tell you about her great grandchildren, Eli Michaels, Maddie Michaels, Sam Michaels, Ezra Grugett, George Grugett, Landon Gentry and Tatum Gentry.

A remembrance and celebration of Corinne's life, love and spirit is planned for Sunday, March 14, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. in East Side Cemetery in Martin, Tennessee.
