Mr. Charles Lawson Redmon, age 92, died Saturday, February 27, 2016, at his residence.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Murphy Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Sams officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Redmon is survived by his wife, Jean Ferrell Redmon, his daughters, Lana (Arthur) Hester, Cathy (Danny) Nanney, Vicki (Duncan) Morrison all of Martin, Kassie (Justin) Emmanuel of Nashville, TN; six grandchildren, Jeff Carlton, Michael Carlton, Greg (Kelly Jo) Nanney, Stacey (Adam) Adkins, Hunter Nanney and Billy Johnson; 12 great-grandchildren, Mikhail, Sophia and Mya Emmanuel, Blake and Brice Carlton, Cole, Kinzey, Cate and Cooper Nanney, Hudson, Wren and Libby Adkins.
He was a retired carpenter and a cattle farmer. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Martin and a graduate of Dresden High School. Mr. Redmon was a veteran, U.S. Army WWII.
Mr. Redmon was preceded in death by his daughter, Anna Redmon; parents, Monroe Redmon and Opal Lawson Redmon; two sisters, Velma Grinder and Kay Pettit; two brothers, Glenn Redmon and Bobby Redmon.
