Mr. Charles E. Glover, age 78, died Sunday, 01/27/2013, at his residence.
Funeral service will be Friday, February 1, 2013, at the Martin Church of Christ; 11:30 A.M. Burial to follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Murphy Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M., or after 10:00 A.M. Friday at the Martin Church of Christ.
Mr. Glover is survived by his wife, Rita Hankins Glover of Martin; his daughter, Deborah (David) Watlington of Jackson, TN; two sons, Dan (Jennifer) Glover of Milan and David (Carolyn) Glover of Martin; 11 grandchildren, Lacie Ellen Glover, Crista (Glover) Ponder, Chad Thomas Glover, Kyle David Watlington, Ryan Charles Watlington, Paige Lauren Watlington, Alex James Watlington, Abby Gayle Glover, Garrison Thomas Glover, Victoria Caroline Glover, Emme Elizabeth Glover; and one great-grandchild, Kayson Thomas Glover. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delmar Harold Glover and Gladys Ruth Wince Glover, one brother, Kenneth Eugene Glover; one sister, Betty Ann Glover.
Mr. Glover formerly worked for Miller Lighting Corporation and retired from Hubbell Lightening Corporation having worked a total of 44 years. Mr. Glover was a member of Martin City Lodge #551, Past Patron of the Bob Reavis #71 Order of the Eastern Star, and in 2009 served as a grand officer for the Grand Chapter of the Tennessee Order of the Eastern Star. He served on the board for Volunteer General Hospital, was a member of the Martin Church of Christ, and a veteran; U.S. Navy-Korea.
