Mr. Cecil C. Powell, age 92, of Martin died Sunday, 07/01/2012, at Volunteer Community Hospital.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, 07/04/2012, at Salem Baptist Church on Hwy. 54 near Trenton, TN; 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 4th until service time at 10:00 A.M.
Mr. Powell is survived by his wife, Joyceann Parnell Powell of Martin; his son, Cecil Ashley Powell of Virginia; his daughters, Sherry Carter Bash and Tammie Carol Powell both of Virginia; one step-son, Fredrick Elwood Carter of Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Eli Powell and Mary Hicks Powell.
Mr. Powell was former owner and operator of Liberty and Big John Supermarkets. He was U.S. Marine veteran and attend Salem Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Dan Garner, James O. Moore, Clyde Miles, Ashley Powell, Kenneth Bach and Phillip Davis.
